    • Welcome to the Fresno Area Electrical Training Center.  We are a jointly sponsored apprenticeship program of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers(IBEW) and the National Electrical Contractors Association(NECA).  Our goal is to provide the industry with craftsman that have the attitude, skills, and knowledge to be successful in the electrical trade.  This is accomplished over the course of 5 years of on the job training, as well as trade related classroom instruction.  Because the electrical field is constantly changing we must change with it.  We offer journeyman level training to keep our workforce up to date on the latest work practices and technologies.

      What's New

All of our participating contractors will now have access to a special website where they can handle various tasks pertaining to their apprentices.  Contractors were sent a letter with detailed information on how to access this page and setup their personalized company accounts.  If you are a contractor and did not receive this letter, please contact our office and one of our office staff can help you set it up.

The website dedicated for contractors is:  https://contractors.fresnojatc.org

Apprenticeship applications are now online! Once you fill out an application online, you must still submit your appropriate documentation by mail or drop it off in person.  After we receive your official sealed transcripts, copy of photo ID, etc, we will process your application for testing. Applications can only be submitted by going to this site:  applications.fresnojatc.org

If you still prefer to fill out an application in person, you must call the office at (559) 251-5174 ext 1 and schedule a time to come in and fill out an application.  Please make sure you have all the appropriate documentation before scheduling your appointment!

We look forward to seeing you!

      Attention Apprentices

It is tradition that apprentices BBQ before the union meetings, which are held the second Tuesday of each month.  This is a good opportunity for apprentices to get out and meet your fellow brothers/sisters.  If you would like to help out be at the JATC around 5pm.

      EQUAL OPPORTUNITY PLEDGE

The Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare Counties Electrical JATC will not discriminate against apprenticeship applicants or apprentices based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older.

The Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare Counties Electrical JATC will take affirmative action to provide equal opportunity in apprenticeship and will operate the apprenticeship program as required under Title 29 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 30, as amended.
